Centered SPRING INTO CLARITY RETREAT 2018-longskinny.png

You are called to: Transition. Renewal. Reinvention.

Join us to call into focus and launch your transformation!
Examine stories you have about yourself to mine them for limiting beliefs, and identify your core wants and motivation.

Tap in to Nature, Community, and Intuition to boost the signals from your inner guidance.

Learn tools to harness the power of your stories to support your Direction, Purpose and Mindset.

Time to Reboot Your Story?

You hear an insistent whisper demanding reinvention. Or, perhaps, a transition has barged into your life, requiring you to examine and shed old stories. Maybe you just know in your bones that you've outgrown the same old, same old, but aren't sure what is next?

Imagine coming home with clarity, purpose, and momentum after spending 4 days in a cozy log lodge only 1 hour north of Minneapolis/St. Paul untethering yourself from limiting beliefs, mining your stories for Who You Are, What You Want, and Why You Want It, and armed with tools to maintain this perspective going forward.

Sounds inspiring and recharging, right?

Nestled in the midst of 87 acres of woodlands, your hosts, Lorie Marsh and Carrie Severson, will guide you to see the "forest for the trees" of your current circumstances (pun intended!) via the power and structure of storytelling. You'll learn to view your life as the epic story it is, with you as its Hero, as well as be guided to tap into the soul story(ies) you are called to share with others in alignment with your soul's purpose.

I have to say, working with Carrie has been magical for me. It’s almost like I can’t believe my eyes!!!

And if you asked me how to describe what’s happening, I’m at a loss for words. New opportunities are coming to ME! I imagine I laid the groundwork, and it’s coming together.

But never in my life have opportunities come so effortlessly.

The only way to describe it is: mind blowing!

Is It For You?

Yours is a story likely with many chapters already, but you find yourself facing a significant transition or insistent call to act on your gifts - in your career or in your personal life (or both, since they're so intertwined!). You've felt stuck in inaction, because the way ahead is not clear.

This isn't your first time 'shedding' an old skin; but, going forward, you want to be more intentional about embracing the transformation instead of fighting it.

This is a wonderful opportunity to come solo, or to experience with a friend, sibling, godchild/godparent or whomever you'd like to envision your next chapters with.

- Space is limited to 12 participants -

Cost:  $997

Includes:

  • Private room, single occupancy, with a mirror, sink and writing desk at the ARC Retreat Center Lodge. All linens provided on site and bathrooms are shared.

About Your Hosts

Marsh-55.jpg

Lorie Marsh

After two decades in indie film, interactive and multi-platform narratives, and "script doctoring," Lorie is steeped in Storytelling. Everything is a story to her.

She developed her self-inquiry framework from a personal need,

I found myself at an undeniable dead end on a path I'd hacked at for almost 20 years. It was scary and overwhelming to feel I was in a free fall, having no "map" anymore for myself. I came to realize, though, that I could find my way back to center by using the skills I'd developed over all those years: I needed to review my life as the epic story it is, and I'd find my answers.

She creates workshops to guide others from their day-to-day Hero views to a higher level Creator/Author perspective where they can map out their next chapters in powerful ways.

Carrie Severson

Carrie is a Soul Story Healer & Storyteller Trainer.

Self-development work is a choice. When we lean into discovering what keeps us stuck in our own patterns and old stories, we give ourselves permission to change.

Carrie blends her 20-year writing and publishing career with her intuitive skills to support entrepreneurs in sharing - in a bigger way - the messages their souls are here to express.

She works with clients to strategize ways they can present speeches and stories to the masses.

She uses her intuition to help clients move through the fear of sharing stories and break through blocks that hold them back.

FAQs

All this talk about storytelling - is this retreat just for writers?

No, though writers are warmly welcomed! The idea is that your everyday thoughts, your memories about your experiences, your interactions with others, even your mindset - all can be described as stories. Carrie and I, as seasoned storytelling experts, guide people's awareness to the "automatic pilot" stories they have about themselves and what's possible. The question is: are your stories supporting your personal growth, or are they limiting you? The retreat is about uncovering those stories and re-framing them to release limiting beliefs and reflect your Inner Guidance.

How many spaces are available?

Although there are 15 rooms total in the Lodge, our aim is to provide a focused, supportive experience to 12 participants total.

Is it for women or men?

It is about openness, seeking connection with your best self, kindness, honesty and fun. We find that these qualities are not gender specific. So if you feel called to this experience, we encourage you to go for it.

Will I have my own bedroom and bathroom?

The majority of rooms in the Lodge are Single Occupancy. Each room is equipped with a vanity sink and mirror. Bed and bath linens are provided. Bathrooms (with tub/shower) are shared. There are a limited number of Double Occupancy rooms, including one with a loft accessible by ladder. Prices are based per person, not per occupancy.

What will each day be like?

Lorie and Carrie are keen to facilitate a relaxed, yet productive weekend of self-inquiry, pathfinding, and mapping your vision and goals. We will workshop as a group in two 3-hour sessions per full day (morning and afternoon), and one 2-hour wrap-up session on the final half-day (mid-morning). You can share as much, or as little, as you wish with the group during the workshops. Each day is scheduled with free time to give you time to reflect, absorb, and go deeper into the work if you choose.  You may decide to do it with a walk, or a nap! It's up to you. A la carte wellness sessions are available to schedule during free times, such as yoga, Reiki, and therapeutic massage. Dinner is enjoyed as a group, and evenings are free afterward.

Q: Can I come late or leave early if the dates don't exactly work for me?

You are encouraged to arrive or depart on the designated arrival/departure days at whatever time works best for your travel schedule, but Check In for rooms will not begin until 3:00 p.m. on April 19th. Please note that we'll have a specific focus for each day. Outside of the designated arrival/departure days, if you come late or leave early you are likely to miss something that is connected to the overall process. We don't want you to miss anything, so late arrivals/departures (other than on designated arrival/departure days) are not recommended.

Q: What if I get sick, or something comes up and I can't attend? Can I get a refund?

This is an intimate retreat that includes meals and lodging accommodations, therefore we need a confirmed list of attendees as of March 23, 2018. That means that we cannot accommodate refunds after that date. However, if something comes up and you cannot attend, we will do our best to help you find someone to fill your spot. And if that works out, then great. However, we cannot guarantee that it will work out that way.

Q: What if I'm not vegetarian? A Vegan? Celiac?

The staff of the ARC Retreat Center is an Intentional Community committed to Radical Hospitality. Their standard menu options are vegetarian, but they are amenable to and experienced with accommodating all dietary requests. If you have special dietary needs, please let us know when you register (we'll provide a form) so that we can share them with ARC staff.

Q: Can I bring my significant other, or child to stay with me if they are not attending the retreat?

A retreat is an opportunity to step outside of your day-to-day life, in order to tap into expanded possibilities. Therefore, it is best for individuals to be able to focus inward even outside of scheduled retreat activities. For those who would like to invite others to join them pre- or post-retreat, we are happy to provide accommodation recommendations nearby. Also, we welcome you and your family members or friends to attend a retreat together, but only if you think it will add more positive mojo to your experience.
